The use of whiteboards is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. What becomes a problem is the fact that the markers never seem to last, erasers seem to disappear, and the whiteboards slowly become stained from frequent use.
With the addition of an Apple TV, students can participate from their seat, by passing the iPad to their classmate who will fill in the next piece of the problem. This allows the problem to be projected for the whole class, while others continue working through their guided notes. This will also allow me to upload documents quickly for those students that are at home during this period of distance learning.
