I really want to increase my students' graphing skills and to help make the room feel welcoming.
The tools I'm requesting will both directly assist students and improve the learning environment.
Stamps- these stamps print the x and y axis straight onto any paper. This helps the students make clear and more accurate graphs. Because the students can start off graphs precisely with the stamps, they really like them and are encouraged to use graphs properly. The classroom needs more of these stamps to keep students excited, rather than waiting for the few we have to be passed around between nearly thirty students in a class.
Whiteboard paint- my goal is to paint all the students' desks with this, so each desk can function as a whiteboard to do their own scratch work. Several desks are already painted with this material and the students are eager to use them.
Light covers- as is typical for school buildings, the flourescent lights are harsh and excessively bright. I have found the light covers create an atmosphere conducive to learning that is much less distracting to my students.
These things will help make my classroom a better environment to work in. Please help me fund these items and make students' lives easier!
