We are a Title 1 school meaning that the majority of our students are low socioeconomic status. We have very little funding because our town is small. We have an influx of non-english speaking community of students in our school. Their are 90 8th graders. They all come to my classroom through the school day. They very little resources to use for labs unless I purchase them. The majority of my students are not on grade level in reading or math which causes them to struggle in Science also. The students have very little prior experience or knowledge to pull from. They need to be exposed to more knowledge and situations.
