Pre-Kindergarten is an environment that is meant to be full of fun, adventure, and exploration! The children in my classroom are active, adventurous and eager to explore their environment. These materials will be used to provide engaging hands on learning experiences in our classroom science center, allowing these young minds increased opportunities to explore, discover and use their senses.
Incorporating the science materials included in this project will enable the children to explore magnetism, color mixing, life cycles and so much more through both play based and teacher directed activities. The Talking Microscope, magnifiers and balance will provide students an opportunity to work with functional and realistic scientific tools during free play. Each of these materials will allow my students to use their imagination and creativity while developing their critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Incorporating these materials into our classroom science center and teacher directed learning experiences will result in a positive impact on the learning and development of each of my students in areas that extend far beyond scientific thinking and development.
