When children have their basic needs met, learning will be easier for them. If they are cold and hungry, they concentrate on those needs. When they are warm and their bellies are full, then we can concentrate on learning. As a teacher my job is to take care of my students, all their needs in order to be successful. Together we can make this happen. My goal is to have my students’ thoughts on school and not on where and when they will get their next meal. My kids deserve a chance to thrive! No child should ever go hungry.
About my class
