Greetings! I am Mr. Nguyen, a teacher entrusted with a great responsibility here in the Clark County School District, the 5th largest in the nation. I teach many things, including science, robotics, and career & technical education. Over the last 4 years of teaching, I have learned many things about my community and my students. Here, I witness and guide countless successes and pathways towards promising opportunities in STEM. I am a 'Miner' at Sunrise Mountain High School, located in a largely suburban and diverse neighborhood. Of the 2600 students here, 75%+ are on free/reduced lunch. Our students come from working-class families here in Northeast Las Vegas - all seeking pathways towards stable, healthy, and promising futures. I am lucky to be a part of an inspiring team here at SMHS working to actively with our community through the present and future - its families. I need your help to keep this up.
