They are all eager to learn and want to have a chance to participate in music class. While it is great that they learn to share and wait for a turn - it would be a better use of time and motivation if all of the students were able to participate all of the time. Ninety three percent of my students are in the at-risk and economically disadvantage range. Their realm of encountered and inspired activities is extremely slim outside of the school environment. I would like for them to all be able to spread their wings and join in when we get out our instruments to accompany our classroom lessons.
