Students can't stay still! My classroom has standing and sitting desks. I am trying to get enough fit boards for just half my students to use while they stand at their desks. It is a balance board that allows you to swivel, rock, and balance on it. I had one fit board for myself that I never used because my students always wanted it whether they were standing or sitting. It eventually broke when my students tried an "experiment" with three freshmen on one board:)
I noticed a huge difference in my students' ability to stay on task and at their work area. I personally love the fit board because while I stand at my desk on it, I am active with my lower body, I did not get leg or foot fatigue, and I could stand longer to stay on task. I saw similar results when my students used it. Surprisingly, it even helped students sitting to have their feet on it and be able to swivel under the desk while working.
I am excited to have these in my room to help keep my students be engaged, active, and happy. Thank you for your help.
