I'm a first-year middle school ELA teacher who believes in the potential of young people to transform the world as we know it. I love reading new books and sharing them with my students, and encouraging them to think about texts in different ways.
My students are compassionate learners, risk-takers, and critical thinkers. They are principled, inquisitive, and they are leaders in both their school and community. I see the spirit of Chicago in all of my students - they are bright, resilient, and creative. These students are the future and have the power to achieve academic success, fight social injustices, and empower their communities.
It takes a village to raise a child, so thank you for supporting my students and I!
