I love flexible seating in the classroom. Students do not need to sit in a traditional desk and chair to learn. I feel that as long as students are engaged they will learn.
The items I have selected will be used by all the students in my room. The students who need a soft place to sit will have the pillows and bean bags. The students who have the "wiggles" will be able to move and still learn at the same time on the Wobble Chair. I really look forward to having these things in my classroom.
Having various places for my students to sit and learn will help negate the adverse behaviors that my students exhibit.
As long as my students are engaged and feel safe then I consider my job well done.
The students I service often have been bounced around from class to class because there behavior is deemed to difficult to deal with. Welcoming the students into my room will make them feel wanted for once in there school career.
