My technology lab services 424 kindergarten - 4th grade students who visit the lab several times a week to work on various projects and programs. My students come from culturally and economically diverse backgrounds with various abilities including ADHD, autism, and other cognitive, emotional, and health impairments. My students need an outlet to move around without distracting others. Wobble Stool's design gently rolls with a child's natural movements, so he or she can stay supported and comfortable while they wiggle around on their stool. It would also allow them to stay safe because they do not tip over. Traditional chairs force growing bodies into unnatural, static positions that are uncomfortable and do not support great posture. My students will be able to sit, wiggle, and fidget on the stool while working out their restless energy.
