Our students are hard working and readily willing to take on challenges of learning in different environments. My students comes from single parents homes, blended home and shelters. They carry the stresses of their families and the communities they live in. Each day I see stars when I come to class. The lights in their eyes are for learning to care for each other and learning to trust. My students are fun, caring and looking for opportunities to grow academically, spiritually, and economically. All of my students are looking to trust someone who will direct them on the path their families and themselves know they can achieve. My school is great! we struggle, but together we are preparing our students to be career and college ready. Their lives are written in books that interest them and I want them to become open to the variety of books and information they may normally pass by. I tell them about all the great books, classics included, that I want them to experience.
