I work with 30-45 teens in an independent study setting. My students need extra support in graduating high school and staying on track with their course requirements. My district is a low socio-economic district with the majority of my students being English Learners. Many of the parents work in agriculture, working the fields to make a better life for their family. I hope to challenge my students to make an easier life for themselves by graduating high school and going on to college. I want to show them that there is life beyond our small town and that they can have the world if they put in the hard work.
