We are currently in uncharted waters in public education. While I teach in a technology-rich school district, I am operating on a Chromebook which is very limited in its abilities. I plan to purchase a MacBook Pro to bolster the many ideas I have to continue digital learning in the GP North Orchestra Program. Music Educators are creative people by nature, and our students should benefit from that creativity. I plan to use this machine to create recruiting videos to ensure the future of the program continues to thrive. Additionally, we will utilize this technology to aid students in classroom ensemble recordings, festival recordings, and college audition recordings (whether they are audio or video). Apple technology is built for creativity and the software included with the device will provide everything and more for the GP North Orchestra Program to continue to refine technology in the classroom, even while in hybrid and virtual learning.
