Materials will be placed in the Lakeshore 20 space storage unit as a part of our independent task center. By having this unit, students will be able to work tasks independently rather than depending upon the teacher to retrieve activities. An independent work center in our classroom will require students to maneuver through two to three independent task box activities as part of creating confidence, creating abilities to work without consistent reassurance, and improving communication skills for my students with Autism. The 20 space cubby storage unit will also provide for a more efficient classroom schedule by allowing students to independently access work tasks.
