My 6th graders love to read and they are ready to read in small groups and discuss the literature with each other. By having 20 copies of "Code 7", we can all read together and I can model how book discussions can help us better comprehend and appreciate literature. Next, students can pick one of 4 books to read & discuss in small groups. I am a first year 6th grade teacher so building up my class library is crucial for my students to have access to new, high quality literature. These titles have been approved by my students so I know that each student will be excited to read at least one of these book titles.
