This cart will be able to service more than 2000 students at NHS. The Inspiration and Design Cart will be utilized by students to design, prototype, create and build innovations. Our school is a comprehensive STEM school rooted in problem based learning. Students tackle real-world problems then create solutions and present their solutions to a panel of experts. This cart will give students the chance to engineer and design solutions in their classroom with numerous materials. The cart is only part of the project. The cart will be filled with different prototyping materials such as: washers, fender washers, hex nuts, lock nuts, screws, cylinder screws, check valves, mini hub assemblies for motor mounts, mini hub assemblies for dowel mounts, toothpicks, bamboo skewers, dowel rods., cups, cylinders, gears, pulleys, wooden wheels, plastic wheels, wiring, wires, zip ties, banana clips, connector strips, electrical tape, rubber bands, plastic tubing, and numerous other objects that will be used in prototyping. The cart will also be equipped with tools to support the student's work such as: electrical tape, pliers, needle nose pliers, screw drivers, scissors, wire strippers, digital multimeter, multi-cutter, slip-joint pliers, soldering tools, stubby screwdriver, stubby hammer, reamer, hot glue guns, and other tools to be added later.
