Hi! I'm a special educator who teaches 4th and 5th grade students who have a wide range of learning disabilities. Many of my students are also learning English as a second language and struggle with attention. My students come to me for reading/writing and math instruction and are integrated for specials, science/social studies. They benefit from learning in a small group setting with increased opportunities for one on one teacher instruction provided at a learning pace that matches his/her individual learning needs.
My students are amazing and want to learn! School is their home away from home, where they feel safe. Many of my students do not have access to computers/technology at home, receive free or reduced lunches, and do not have the basic school necessities (i.e. pencils, folders, coats). They look to their teachers and school community to support them, believe in them, and love them.
