We are a Montessori classroom located in the heart of Englewood on Chicago’s South Side. Following the Montessori model, our classroom combines three grade levels—4th, 5th, and 6th—creating a multi-age learning environment for students aged 9 to 12. This structure fosters leadership and collaboration. Our school operates on three-year cycles, allowing students and teachers to build lasting bonds. In Room 312, we are more than a classroom—we are a family. We support each other through challenges, celebrate our achievements, and create meaningful connections that go beyond academics. The students of Room 312 have a passion for singing, dancing, storytelling, and hands-on exploration through science experiments. Each day every child designs their own work plan, embodying the Montessori philosophy of self-directed and child-centered learning. Together we nurture curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
