I teach my students how to speak the English language (ESL) and they range in age from kindergarten to grade 5. One half of our immigrant population can be considered high-need and one third of the total receive specialized or modified instruction in other pull-out programs. In addition to needing to learn a new tongue, many are also categorized as slightly learning disabled.
