Our K-6 students are on a journey to build strong emotional and social skills that will serve them throughout their lives. Our lessons will provide them with resources to explore emotional integrity—understanding and acting on their emotions in honest and responsible ways. We'll be focusing on practical strategies to manage emotions in all aspects of life, from the classroom to the playground and beyond.
A core component of our work is developing executive functioning skills, such as planning, organizing, and self-regulation. We'll also integrate the CASEL fundamentals of social-emotional learning (SEL): self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. These fundamental skills are essential for our students' success, both academically and personally, as they learn to navigate their feelings and interactions with others.
