President Gerald Ford said, "Music education opens doors that help children pass from school into the world around them - a world of work, culture, intellectual activity, and human involvement. The future of our nation depends on providing our children with a complete education that includes music." Some people view music classes as "extras" as opposed to vital curriculum, but I believe that music is where students can learn confidence and creativity and am so lucky to work in a school that agrees. My classroom is a fun place where students can be themselves. We sing together, play instruments together, and CREATE together. I also love using technology in the music room. Please help show my students how important the arts are by providing funding for more songs, more instruments, and more activities!
