I had the pleasure of attending the Get Your Teach On National conference last year and the knowledge I gained was phenomenal. Since attending, I’ve been able to apply the instructional strategies that I learned at GYTO to my classroom in Louisiana. The results have been incredible! My students are more engaged and excited about learning than ever and their scores reflect that! To continue this growth, I want to attend the 2020 National conference. A large portion of the conference is focused on kindergarten instruction, more specifically, literacy and mathematics instruction. The teaching methods taught will help my students of all academic abilities reach their full potential. Kindergarten is a crucial time period where my students learn key phonics and mathematics skills that set the ground work for all future studies.
