As a teacher, I feel it is my responsibility to help students see what a wonderful gift reading is. At this time, my library consists of very few books, many are outdated. My desire is to give my students access to diverse reading experiences. Through these experiences they will develop fluency, gain background knowledge and grow their passion for learning. By providing my students access to a diverse library, they have the opportunity see that reading can be a positive and enjoyable experience. New classroom books will be used as mentor texts for students as they further develop literacy skills.

About my class
