My kinder cuties have never stepped in our school building due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Very few of them engaged in Remote Learning and will start the school year feeling insecure.
I would like to put all my efforts into making my students feel safe and excited to learn in their very first at school experience. I would love for the transition from home to school to be as seamless as possible. Creating a room that provides soft lighting instead of our industrial flourescent lamps is just the beginning. I also want to give them an area where they can relax like on a soft, eye-appealing rug.
In order to help regulate their emotions, our classroom supplies will include stress balls, playdough, books and positive classroom posters. These items will help all of my students, including my Special Education students in my Kinder Collaboration Class.
