My project goals would be to see an increased interest in reading which will help foster the love of reading. With an interest in reading, students will increase an interest across all subject areas. For example, by using the space-comfy floor seats while reading, "James and The Giant Peach" or "Inside Out and Back Again", students with different learning styles will feel free to communicate thoughts and options openly.
I anticipate critical learning skills will increase because students of all reading levels will be given the opportunity to make connections, identify problems, and seek solutions with others by discussing "James and The Giant Peach or "Inside Out and Back Again", in a relaxed environment. While working daily with my differentiation groups, the levels of critical learning that takes place varies with each group. Depending on the book we are reading, the level of questions will vary within each group. However, critical thinking and understanding by the end of a novel study will be higher for all learners in each differentiation group.
