Some of my students can't get their nose out of a book and others just haven't found the right book to develop a love of reading yet. As a teacher, I want all my students to love reading and learn while doing it. A popular series among my fourth graders is the I Survived ones. I LOVE these books because they are also based on real events, so while my students are immersed in a book, they're also learning and don't even realize it! As a first year teacher my library is not as large as I would like it to be, but I'm hoping to expand my library with these great historical fiction and non-fiction texts!
