The majority of my students are first generation Americans. We live in an agriculture city where the majority of their parents work 10-12 hours daily. Our school is considered a Title 1 school where every single student receives a free lunch. I teach in Spanish and in English and promote being multilingual in my classroom to prepare students for the global workforce.
