So often children come to kindergarten lacking fine motor skills. Basic repetition of handwriting skills and letter formation becomes cumbersome and boring after a while. By implementing the use of the Apple iPad Pro and Pencil, students experiencing difficulty developing fine motor skills can practice in a fun and exciting way.
I would use this resource with all students to practice writing activities. I could use this with the more advanced children to help them create their own stories. In addition to this, it would also allow me to provide remediation lessons for students struggling with handwriting and letter formation without feeling labeled as a low performing student.
I believe that by incorporating the use of the Apple iPad Pro and Pencil students can develop a love of writing and develop their artistic abilities. It would encourage them to be creative on a new platform and show them that everyone can become a writer or artist, and they all have great stories to tell!
