My students are students identified as gifted learners and participate in the district's pull-out Learning Enrichment Program. They have a thirst for knowledge, and rise when challenged. Our district has a wide range of students from various socioeconomic backgrounds. Students in my program range from highly affluent to students who receive free or reduced lunch. However through their participation in the LEP program they are on a level playing field academically. They are motivated to learn and are the students who one day may be at the forefront of the science field. I believe that to help them get there and meet their potential, it is important to introduce them early to the skills they will need to be successful in the field.
