If fully funded, my project will help our special education students in the collaboration and self contained classrooms to meet their sensory needs. The light covers will help with light sensory and the floor decals will help with the need to move around in a controlled manner when feeling antsy. The weighted stuffed animals will provide comfort to those students who need “pressure” to promote calmness and productive learning. The bands for the chairs help my students’ needs to move their feet and help with the wiggles. Last, but not least the headphones help those students who struggle with loud noises (such as the fire drill bell) that upset, scare and/ or hurt their ears.
