I teach at a very culturally diverse school in upstate SC. We have a high Hispanic population as well as many other nationalities. In my class, most of the children are on free lunch. My children are beyond precious. They love to come to school and be a part of our caring community. Some do not have English as their first language, but they have a strong desire to learn. Most if not all of our children have much respect for adults, and discipline problems are very rare. The majority of our parents do not have the ability to donate time and/or money to assist in resources, but they give us support in every other way. I adore my school. It is one of a kind and I would not work anywhere else. These children do not get the added resources as others in our area, but they are MOST deserving. Our teachers supply most of the supplies they need out of pocket, and they don't mind.
