My pre-kindergarten students are in need of a light table for our sensory science center. Our students are underprivileged attending a title I school, they have never been exposed to technology in science, math, or engineering. My goal is for the students to use the light table for many amazing ways of learning how to explore, create, construct, build and learn several components of our pre-k guidelines. With the light table-my students will find an exciting way to experiment, engage and be enthusiastic about learning several different topics. Some examples of the many different things they can learn with a light table are: explore 2D and 3D shapes, art, build and create shapes with magnetic tiles, learn the alphabet, create letters using connecting sticks, write, create patterns, explore x-rays.
