Welcome! This is my 6th year teaching 3rd grade, but I have been teaching for 10 years. I grew up wanting to be a teacher. When I was little, I thought it would be cool to have summers off (right?!). As I grew up, I wanted to be a teacher because I knew I wouldn't make it in a cubicle. Now, in my 10th year, I am choosing to stay in teaching because I believe in a better future. The students I am teaching are going to be a part of that future. I am helping them grow academically, emotionally, and socially. I am working hard to give them the tools they need, so they have choices in what they do, and where they go. I am teaching them that hard work is a part of life, and you need to go after what you want. My students have diverse backgrounds and diverse needs, and I believe that no matter the circumstances all students deserve rich opportunities to learn.
