Math is usually seen as something to fear; with most honest students openly admitting to hating the subject. I am requesting: math games, storage materials, buzzers for playing math game shows, teacher self-ink stamps for motivating students in the learning of math, timers to help students manage their activity time better, magnetic clothes pins to hang students achievement (motivation), electric sharpener, and a planner to assist the teacher in keeping up with activities/assignments.
With this project, I hope to use games to capture students' interest, motivate them to want to learn more, and help develop fluency and accuracy in mathematics.
It is my goal to use these items to bridge the gap between math and everyday life. I want for my ninety-two students to realize that math is all around us (all math concepts can be found in everyday-life), it can be fun, it is a subject that is needed in most (if not all) career choices.
