My students are bright, creative problem-solvers and deserve to use materials in their lab experiences that promote confidence and inquiry. They come from a rural, economically depressed part of our state. In our school, the science lab has been a less than exciting place to learn. For years, our school has endured crippling cutbacks, leaving no funding for updates or worse, replenishing consumables and replacing broken equipment. Giving our students access to electronic balances, test tubes, beakers, and an accurate periodic table, will help them build confidence, and further develop and apply their problem solving skills to real world situations.

About my class
