My students come from a broken home and huge percentage of poverty. They won't have a steady home to provide all the supplies that they need for school.
My project is to provide my culturally responsive students' need. They need supplies such as pencils, erasers, posters and charts for them to be successful in class. My students are very unique in their own way. Knowing the life they have outside of school, I want to provide a safe environment where they can come to me for anything and everything. I don't want the last thing they worry about is supplies for school. I want to help my students to feel comfortable in the classroom and create an environment that "everyone counts, everyone learns".
