This is my first year at this school and I absolutely love it here. I also live in the district, so I'm personally vested in these kids and this community. There is a small-town feel at the school that is very rare in public education, as the typical trend nowadays is for schools to move towards a more consolidated model with large campuses and thousands of students. The graduating senior class here has less than 40 total students, which means teachers cover many different subjects and the class sizes are very small. This is such a blessing and allows me to get to know my kids and their families closely. I won't lie, this school cannot afford to offer art or music programs. Students only learn core courses, Ag classes, and participate in sports. My students desperately need access and exposure to stories from outside of Oklahoma and outside of the United States.
