The students use power tools in the class, so safety is our first priority in all aspects of the program. To improve safety, we propose replacing the switches on several pieces of equipment with magnetic starter switches. This will ensure that if power is lost or the unit is unplugged, the equipment will be in an off state when power is restored. We are asking for a grant of $349.32 to purchase 6 of the requisite switches to be installed on the following pieces of equipment: 路 Oscillating Drum sander 路 Disk/Belt Sander 路 3 router tables 路 Surface Joiner
