Learning with projects that challenge the students will be very beneficial for them because I believe that they will be more willing to accept feedback and be more motivated to learn.
By doing projects using robots, for example, the students will observe which pieces will put the robot together in order to make it work, they will be encouraged to plan what that robot will do for them and they will try to build it by trial and error until they are successful.
Some desired outcomes are that students will learn to be resilient when they fail the first time and have to try again in order to see the result that they planned before starting the project. They will also learn basic engineering skills.
Skills developed through STEAM activities such as resilience, dedication, confidence, and respect can be used by students outside of school in their personal lives as well.
