During general music lessons, students in 3rd-5th grades will learn the basics of ukulele including instrument care, correct technique, tuning, strumming, and beginning chords. Students will be playing and singing along in no time, building their confidence, musicianship, and self-discipline. Having previously taught ukulele at the elementary level, I know my students will be enriched and engaged by learning about a stringed instrument that is easily accessible for small hands.
The elementary years are the perfect time to expose children to a wide range of opportunities, and I can only imagine my new students' excitement when they return to school and see these hanging on the wall!! I am so eager to place these ukulele's in the hands of children and begin building life-long musicians! Thank you in advance for supporting this project.
