I have noticed positive changes in my students' motivation to read when they have access to an eBook. We currently share computers with another 1st grade class. MyOn is an eText app, which will allow students to view stories of their interest. This will allow me to track students' progress and would be a dream tool to have in our reading class. These tablets will greatly benefit these students in their fluency and reading skills. Students will be able to hear, visualize, and vocally repeat our high-frequency words, improve their comprehension skills, sequencing, differentiating between fact and opinion, and developing word awareness. These tablets will provide students with the opportunity to maximize their potential. These tablets will give technological access to students who may not have it at home.
