Our children love to read and also love to be read to. The children love to retell the stories by acting them out . Teacher and community volunteers spend time reading to the children in small groups and individually. Our library books that the children love are becoming worn. Some of their favorite stories are Pete the Cat, There was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a fly and, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom If you give the materials for them to act out these stories it will keep their interest in reading these stories and more.
Our children also love transforming robots. The transforming robotic letters will help the children learn the letters , along with strengthening their fine motor skills. The key and lock letters will also help with the children with learning their letters and working on their fine motor skills which helps with the children writing.
Our children do so many amazing things that we have to have documentation on and the easiest way of doing this is with a camera. The camera can also help us to show the parents amazing things their children are doing in class.
Last but not least I am wanting to give the children a different variety of snacks to help feed their minds throughout the day. Also to use some of the snacks on activities for example we read a book called the Kissing Hand and we would use the Hershey kiss with this book and this would also help with fine motor skills.
