Featherstone is a one of a kind school that welcomes an amazing group of diverse students. Every child that walks through our doors is welcomed with open arms. Every year, a new batch of talented, intelligent, and diverse students arrive at my school with their own uniqueness and cultural backgrounds. Featherstone has a large ESOL population. It's an incredible experience to have so many languages and cultures in one classroom! It makes learning and teaching so much fun. FTES is a Title 1 school and contains mostly low socioeconomic students. Even so, the students here are some of the most motivated, hard working, and inspiring students you'll ever meet! It is because of them, that I continuously look for new ways to engage and fuel their learning. I hope to help my ESL students achieve personal and academic growth and success by providing them with the necessary tools and resources they need to succeed.
