Having flexible seating choices of it being a comfy chair, pillow, bean bag or exercise ball or a lap desk helps my students have control of their learning environment. With flexible seating, students can change how they sit to meet their needs. Movement is important in learning and flexible seating offers many choices for my students. Students can create a sense of community with flexible seating and it also allows for small grouping which is not easy with traditional desks and chairs. Flexible seating always students to be comfortable and being comfortable helps students to be calm, focused and productive. Lastly, flexible seating options help students with sensory needs and helpful for students with special needs.
