Marshall Elementary is a Title I school, serving a diverse, high-poverty population in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Many of my students have already faced systemic disadvantages in life and a significant portion are English Language Learners. Regardless, they have a huge love of learning and big aspirations for life at the age of six years old! I want to do everything I can to help them reach their goals and to allow them to achieve their dreams. I believe a strong foundation is important to set them up for academic success and want to make sure they leave first grade with the proper literacy, math, and social-emotional skills for their future.
