My students are great. They really like learning. It is amazing to see how mature my second graders are. They easily transition from one subjects to the next. Also, they are not afraid to let me know when they are not getting a certain concept about a subject. They have confessed to me that the best subjects in my classroom is math, reader's workshop, and writer's workshop.
Unfortunately, my students attend a low-economic school so many needed materials are not available for them. I have been purchasing many materials they need but there is only so much I can do. I have been going to the public library to obtain books for them to read, but I cannot get class sets of reading material.
