I teach at a PreK-5 school that is filled with amazing students, and I'm lucky to work with a great staff. My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions! They are eager to learn and love hands-on activities, technology, engineering, and anything else that allows them to problem solve. They come to school each day ready to learn and try new things in order to grow academically. A typical day in my classroom is spent in small groups, working in labs, researching using the computer lab, or carrying out hands-on learning as I have found this most effective. I would describe my classroom as engaging, supportive, rigorous, and full of love. I have a strong passion for teaching science, and my students know it. I provide them with a motivational and caring classroom community that is conducive to learning.
