This project is going to create an inviting, relaxing atmosphere in the elementary library. The students deserve a safe, accepting place; one that they can fall into a great book and become who they want to be or discover new worlds. With your help, the students will be able to relax in a comfortable, welcoming environment that they can call their "home away from home" while they are here at school. All children deserve a place to learn at their own pace and the library is one place that does just that. The fun furniture that I have chosen will add vibrant color to our reading area. Currently, the area is a rug that has seen better days. I want to encourage reading, individually and shared, and this furniture will help me do that.
