There is magic that happens as these students learn and grow together. Many students have never touched a computer before. Some have large learning gaps because they have only attended school for a few years in their home country. 3 of my students are here because there is a war going on in their country and it was too dangerous to stay with their family. We have 4 different languages at a given time in our classroom. These students are starting over in the U.S.A. Seeing their eyes light up when they enter the classroom and watching their brains spinning is the greatest thing a teacher can witness. These students love school more than anyone I have ever witnessed. Their smiling faces make all the hard work worthwhile.
